Jeep Talk Spoken Here No sense being too complicated until (unless?) posts and traffic warrant categories to be set up. Who wants to search through dozens of forums anyway?

Default Battery replacement

Had to replace the battery in the Jeep today. Connie went out to start it to go to a doctor's appointment, and the solenoid just clicked away. So she took the truck and I arranged to pick up a battery at the local Advance Auto.

Pretty simple job. Just a single bolt for the hold-down bracket on the battery, and the positive and negative cables needing to be removed. 10mm bolts in all three places. I laid the hood against the roof, since it gave a bit more clearance pulling the old battery out and putting in the new one that way.

Starts right up now, so all is good. Actually I think this is the first thing to ever go wrong on the Jeep since I got it. So certainly can't complain about that.
